Walter Philbrick is a retired police officer with an illustrious career spanning 30 years in South Florida. Rising through the ranks, he retired with the distinguished rank of Lieutenant. Throughout his tenure, Walter served in various high-profile roles, including SWAT Team Leader for 13 years and Homicide Sergeant for 2.5 years, overseeing over 100 homicide cases.
Known for his exceptional investigative skills, Walter also excelled in undercover operations, particularly in narcotics investigations. His outstanding contributions earned him the prestigious title of Investigator of the Year. Additionally, Walter devoted himself to training the next generation of law enforcement officers, culminating in his role as an instructor at the police academy.
Beyond his law enforcement career, Walter is a formidable martial artist, holding a sixth-degree black belt in judo. He showcased his prowess by winning the US Masters Judo Championships and securing a gold medal in the World Police Games. For over two decades, Walter ran a successful judo dojo in Hollywood, Florida, where he shared his expertise with aspiring martial artists.
In his retirement, Walter has turned his focus to writing, penning six books that draw upon his wealth of experiences in law enforcement and martial arts. He resides in South Florida with his wife, Hellen, enjoying a well-deserved retirement after a lifetime of service to his community.
